MPC500, Roland MC-505 Groovebox, and Oxygen8

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the best MIDI set up for :-

Oxygen8 Midi Controller
Roland MC-505 Groovebox
Akai MPC500

I bought the MPC500 (and love it) for the sequencer + sampling capabilities and want to lay some midi tracks playing back through the 505 - all of course via an Oxygen8.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

basically:
oxygen 8 midi out -> mpc500 midi in
mpc 500 midi out -> MC-505

you may need to turn midi thru on somewhere in the 500. probably other or midi mode.

That's how i'm currently set up and have having problems assigning patches on the 505 to MIDI tracks on the MPC - could just be me as I'm new to the MPC, but is there anything else I could do ?

Please don't suggest using a PC or Laptop to sequence, I'm on the road with just the Oxygen8, MC505, and MPC500.
