Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I got my MPC used years ago that had some gray pads. Those were pretty smooth (guess worn in). Got some black pads popped those in they seemed to have a lil texture but more cushion. Id say go for it man.

I actually didn't see a difference between the black and grey pads except that the black pads tend to get dusty and since they're black the dust stands out. but I like them. they cheap so why not

True...I think I'm gonna get em'. I just wanted to make sure they were made from the same quality material. Good lookin guys. EASY....

I swapped out the black pads from a mpd-16 into my 2k classic and I noticed 2 things.

1- They get really dusty. If you have a cat/dog, they're a magnet for hair. It's kinda gross.

2-They're way stiffer. It may be that my classic has broken in pads, but I don't really like the feel of the black ones as much. They aren't as spongy. I might swap em back. My fingers are actually kinda sore after a 45 minute live set of pounding on them. :shock:

However....... I looks dope.

wow i thought the pads in the mpd-16 were that same as the mpc.
