I'm having a weird problem and I don't know if it's the OS (OS 4.63) or something else.

Here's what happened, can anyone offer any insight?

1) Loaded drum program, recorded sequence on track 1. No problem.

2) Loaded "Kalimba Multisample" Program that someone posted a while back. Played a Kalimba part on track 2. Track won't play back, and notes do not appear in grid edit.

3) Change program for track 2 to drum program, notes that were originally played suddenly appear and play back using the drum program.

4) Switch back to Kalimba program, notes disappear and nothing is played.

(Note: When I play the Kalimba program on the pads it sounds fine, but it won't record. I tried rebooting and starting over, but the same thing happened).

Any thoughts on this?

That's pretty weird. The first thing I would try is a factory reset (hold ERASE and POWER ON).

Thank God that's fixed. :!:

Thanks for the advice guys! I was going out of my mind. I upgraded to 4.66 and tried the factory resent and it was still not recording. It turned out that the Kalimba program had a problem with the note assignments. I used Bluebox to autochromate the pads and everything is great.

Lesson learned. Never doubt the JJ OS. :D
