yo i just copped this mixer off ebay. any reviews?

I got an 07 also with the pro x-fade. I quite like the fader though. But I wanna get another mixer since I think the Vestax sound quality is pretty shit to be honest...

Nothing f*cks with the Rane....but the Stanton is a pretty decent alternative to an 05. Good job on the Vestax decks too - I got a pair and they've never failed. Takes some getting used to, but they're tight ,especially for juggling

thats true.
sound quality aint the best with the vestax mixers.
the old rane ttm 54i should have a good sound and is much cheaper than the 56.

Yeah, I'm gonna stick with the vestax for a little while longer since I've spent a decent amount of cash on gear last week and at the moment I prefer getting something to get more creative instead of replacing something I already have in my setup.

Wouldn't mind a cheap mixer with no top of the line faders since I hardly ever skratch anymore. I still got a Technics mixer lying around somewhere. Loved the sound of the mixer but because the fader is so destroyed, the sound is awefull aswell (lots of distortion). I should dig that out again and try to fix it so the sound is nice and warm again.

Just get a replacement fader man. Even a simple one for the Technics mixer doesn't cost that much! 20 Euros maybe?

Yeah I should check for it but I heared a few years ago that they wouldn't be available anymore. And before I buy one, I wanna make absolutely sure that it's just the fader that needs to be replaced cause I don't wanna spend 20€ for nothing. That mixer is really destroyed...I hope I can still find another busted fader around my place to see if that's an improvement...

keep in mind that you have to solder when you install another fader...
i never understood why technics didnt change anything on that note for so many years.

Unfortunately, I have the FFV1 which doesn't allow you to adjust the xfader fade, so it's basically on/off. The FFV2 allows it though. I know I can drop in the included Alps fader, but I done f'ed up one of the upfaders, so I'm using the Alps for that.

The only mechanical work I did on the FF was open up the fader and apply cailube to the rails.

ohh yeah lol.. since my focus fader fuct up i been usin the alp, and totally forgot u couldnt adjust the focus fader lol..

But wait, wasnt we talkin about pro x fade with the curves and on / off??

I almost got one before but my girl was payin for it then the store fuct up the order, so in the end she canceled it and i never got one lol

I think i'll wait untill the alp is totally dead and i got the extra cash, but for now my money just disapears any time records or weed find themselfs infront of me
