I think there was no emergency update on the freeze on save..because it wasn't an emergency. While I read some reports here where people had some issues with this when trying to save to a hard drive, I think I ran into that problem once a long time ago..but not sure which OS I was using.

But as I have written numerous times, there are things that I do that have been bulletproof for me. I create folders for all projects. I save the entire memory to these folders. I don't overwrite files..I simply save the newly modifed files in a different folder and delete the previous folder if I no longer need it. These are some things that served me well and has contributed to me not spending days/hours complaining about the same issue...I rather spend that extra time clowning my favorite forum members...I'm special like that.

As far as the Akai or JJ OS..does it really matter which one you choose? If you are getting things accomplished, that's all that matters.

Hi

Newbie to MPC's here but I got a replacement MPC2500 with OS 3.06 on it.

It seems to have a new grid edit layout.

JJOS perhaps? never used it before so don't know.

can anyone help?

Sorry guys

just checked the JJ site it does seem to have come back with the JJ OS on it. Strange seeing as it was supposedly sent back to Akai support.

Realised it's been used quite a bit before by the looks of things.
