^^^ LOL CHUCH!!

yea man I personally would pick em up....no if and or buts about it but I would try and get them as cheap as possible obviously...

E.D.E. my duke the thing you gotta think about though is "availability" like you said YOU get calls daily with people wanting to sell you collections...some of us could only dream for that to happen ONCE...

so where u may only pay pennies on the dollar its mainly because you have such a huge archive and easy access to collections but cats like this guy as well as myself dont come into contact with collections or records that easy or often so when we do we normally quick to grab it up and or maybe pay a bit more then the next man would....

I personally love these type of collections just came up on a couple myself...and I love to just go in blind sometimes, make your ears bleed a bit going through mad wack records...it makes you appreciate a sick sample when you actually come across it all the more....

eggghhh what else can I say...we all cook/eat different food, but bottom line we all end up sh!ttin in the same place....

my collection isnt big cause i just went out and bought LOTS,each and everyone of those records was hand picked,

BELEIVE ME records are not goin anywhere, i have been hearing that since i started 30 yrs ago, you just have to talk to people to get deals
more then half of the time i got to turn them people down cause i dont want what i can find in the dollr bin or at the thrift store i want whats good and i can sell...i guess it's just your style or what you are into,

i would offer 25 bucks and thats cuttin it close.i havent even seen whats in the LOT...just i can tell you you'll get stuff like barbra streisand, willie nelson, frank sinatra, dean martin, patsie cline,100 strings, thats mostly what people want to get rid of, the people with the good records know they know what they got and those are the ones that keep there records and ask a million dollars (not really but yes alot of money)
THOSE collectors dont sell lots they sell each one individually,

you hardly see those deals and if you do you prolly cant afford it,
i know i have had to turn down deals like that...it fucin hurts literally

That's what I've slowly come to realize thanks to you kind folks....
Checked out a spot since I told the woman I wouldn't settle unless its at 5 cents a record, she said if its not sold by the end of the week its mine. I have a feeling if its not sold, then clearly its junk.

I was fiending for vinyl though so I went on a dig and look what I scored, my personal best dig yet:

'The Whole Burbank Catalog' alone was worth the price of admission

edit: I don't get why those images aren't showing, bbcode seems correct to me

e.d.e. NAH NAH dont get me wrong you kno u my duke so I aint coming at you like ya collection is all filler etc etc....Sh!t you prolly have the most heat on this board haha...but STILL...

true, records may not be going any where but they do get more rare by the day just because so many are lost, broke or just thrown out...

what I was getting at is the supply and demand senerio...you are lucky enough to have the option to be picky some one like myself doesnt unless I want to do some serious break neck diggin as well as traveling so records come alot harder to me personally therfor I prolly spend a bit more then the next man...

I guess in a sense I look at it like I'd rather have (barbra streisand, willie nelson, frank sinatra, dean martin, patsie cline,100 strings) in my collection then no records at all....

sure my collection has some filler I cant lie, but without all those fillers I would have never got to the gemms I have either...

u smellin what Im cookin pimpin???

Props to e.d.e. I think you saved me some moola, peep the latest from this broad, now she is basically saying it's all filler cause she's keeping the cream and is trying to unload the B.S.

After Harry Hustles score on here I think I should, but this seems like its DEFINITLY junk...

I am still getting a lot of interest, but a lot of people want to see it before they actually purchase it, which is proving to be a HUGE hassle since we are getting ready to move and both my husband and I are working full-time. You can imagine the problems we are having coordinating showings of the collection. However, $75 is a little lower than I was hoping to go on these.

I know you said you couldn't really justify purchasing a whole bunch of random records, especially if they are genres you are not especially interested and not knowing what is in the lot. If you would be willing to meet me midway between your 75 dollar offer and the 150 we decided on earlier, I would be willing to throw in some good stuff from my personal collection (maybe 20 or so) just to sweeten the deal. This way, you would know what a handful of the albums are ahead of time and then you would be getting a whole bonus of 500+ Lps to look through later and keep or sell at your discretion.

I really want these sold rather than coordinating showings...I have like 6 people that want to come down and view these tonight and tomorrow. That is just too much hassle for me to deal with at this point.

If you are able to afford 115 for the collection, I will throw in some good stuff from my own collection on top. (the collection I'm keeping is mainly classic rock, pop, disco, funk, blues, jazz, punk, new wave, indie, soul, and r&b) So I will throw in 20-30 on top of the other stuff.

Let me know if this is something you would want to do, and we can talk.
If not, no worries. Thanks.
