Problem with loading wave files

I have the JJ OS 4.62 installed and i am trying to load and then pad assign some movie quotes that i downloaded from www.moviewavs.com. However when i am in the load screen and select the wav to load and hit DO IT....it says "Wrong File!!". Yet when i load other wave samples such as drums or a 4-5 second sample of any instrument it works fine and lets me assign them. The movie quotes are not big at all and none of them are longer than 6-7 seconds. Anyone help me out with why this wont work and why it says "Wrong File!!??

The only difference in the wave files that i noticed were that the waves that worked were at a higher kbps rate than the movie waves which were way lower. Not sure if this matters??

they need to be 16bit 44.1 kHz waves.

if they are a different sample rate or bit depth you need to convert them.

if you are on windows even "Sound Recorder" (that comes with windows since at least win95) will do this.

should be under accessories somewhere on your start menu.

if you are on a mac you can convert them in iTunes if it will play them back.

on either platform you could also use a wave editor like Audacity (which is free - but i can't stand)

when i was on windows before i used to use Soundforge.

now on my macs i use Wave Editor.
