NOOB!!NEED HELP!

i deleted all of the factory sounds n stuff so that I could add my own. Then i hooked my mpc up to my laptop so that i can get the samples that i chopped. (Should imake a new folder or something for these?)and then I drag them into my mpc n i try 2 load them but for some reason it will only load 2 of the samples so can somebody help me!! n plz dont say read the manual or anything because I did and still dont get much of the stuff.

After you drag and drop, check and see that all the samples are in fact on the card while it's connected to the PC. ]

yea there all there

It may bee that your files is some sort of compressed .wav's. I've had that problem before. Just load the audio files into some adio program and re-sample them digitally! It would work. (I use MOD-tracker for this, it's free!)

One of the best ways to learn the load/save/transfer process of the Mpc500 is to practice making folders,saving, and loading all to a blank CF card while following the directions in the manual on loading,saving and creating folders. Practice making folders on the PC then drag and drop samples to the folders then disconnect the mpc from the PC and find your folders and files in the mpc's load/save menu, while paying close attention to the manuals instruction on how to do so.Using a blank card will weed out all other files and folders so you can concentrate on learning how to save, load, and transfer USB and where your folders and files are at on your CF card. Learn this way and before you know it you'll know exactly how the 500 loads,saves, and transfers data.

very true! i just got mines, & damn this thing ain't no ''toy''. right now im just learning how to ''navigate'' my way in & out of the 500 by way of the manual.

i just kept loading stuff to learn it too! i just got mine a couple days ago and last nite, the same thing happened to me i think.

i had a bunch of .wav files, but they were a different codec or something, so i put them in acid pro 5 and used the "chop to new track" feature then dumped them into my 500 and they worked fine, youll just have to use one of your daw's to convert it. good luck
