Whats up everyone, I have a question regarding the MPC2000, I can get one pretty cheap
Is there anything I should look out for when buying a used 2000? I currently have a 1000 and I love it. Please if there anything I should look out for please let me know.
Thanks,
Wes P

If you already have the 1000, what are you considering buying a 2000 for? What do you expect the 2000 to do for you that the 1000 can't?

Peace,
KM

In that Case i dont need to buy a 2000 then, i just figured i can get it at a cheap price, but if the 1000 does everything the 2000 does plus more, then sh*t ima stick with my 1000.

Make sure all the buttons work, make sure all the pads work, make sure the floppy works, make sure it comes with a proper Zip drive with the proper SCSI cables and a couple of disks thrown in, (which work).
Ask to see it working first, then buy it.

Everything said above and if they got it with the RAM maxed out, and the extra goodies like an EB16 effects card and the 8 output board.

All said above and a pretty obvious one,but don't pay over $700 for a 2000 classic that's a rip off imo(xl's for $700's a good price imo).

yeah if your gunna switch ide cop the XL. I went from 1k to XL and i couldnt be happier. 1k has more features and blah, but im chillin on the XL and plan to for sometime. i wouldnt bother with the 2k unless its for DIRT cheap and all of the above.

Dont get me wrong though, 1k is dope machine, jjos and whatnot.

The only thing you will gain with the 2000 is build quality and larger pads. IMO if your not going to be play your mpc live i would just stick with the 1000.
