Nice update. The pads are much improved. I still don't understand why so many people wine about this thing. I love it. I've had Ensoniq's (ASR10, EPS16+, Mirage) Emu's (E4 Ultra x 2 and Emulator X) and this thing is pretty kewl. I understand it doesn't have all the features, but hey, its
PORTABLE! I love mine. I think its great.

How are they improved? I still have to bang the hell out of the thing to get an audible sound if I'm not using Full Level. I have set my Pad Sensitivity on 16 on all pads.

Any tips on making them easier to trigger?

I have a sort of repeat sometimes after pressing a touch , I had that today about ten times in 4 hours time. I did not have this issue with the previous version , which I used since january.

does someone else have this problem too?

Actually, my pads 'feel' more responsive, I used to have to literally 'beat' them and now I find they are equally as responsive with less force. For me, this is an improvement.

I don't share that feeling, i do not have the feeling they are more responsive.
And lion of judah i tried it out and I share your opinion.they should fix this, this one of the things that the 500 lacks: same responsivnes at the pads as the bigger brothers. if the 500 was my first mpc I would not touch the others. famous for its pads and you get this...

Not the sort of update I was hoping for, but better than nothing. 128 programs is good though. Means I can have a whole lot more programs in memory at any one time.

At least it suggests Akai hasn't decided to ignore the 500, so that's good. Too bad they hadn't addressed the line out volume thing, but I have a feeling they view it as a feature.
