Ok, this is what I am dealing with right now. I am running a PC with Cubase with a MOTU Miditimepiece AV attached. I also have an MPC 3000 in the mix. What I want to do is to hit the pads on the MPC3000 but do my sequencing in Cubase. However right now the way it is hooked up, the MPC is sending midi signal to Cubase and the notes are showing up in Cubase but when I playback it isn't sending back to the MPC because I don't hear anything. I hope this isn't too confusing..I am just getting frustrated...Midi.......Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

I don't know any of Cubase's specifics as far as menus and such are concerned, but set it up according to the manual, etc.
You'll want Cubase set to record a MIDI track rather than an audio track, and have whatever type of quantize set on, (if you're using it) have it generate a metronome if you need it, all those goodies.
Now that your sequencer is set up, you want your MPC tracks to all be set for Drum rather than MIDI, as the MPC will be used as the slave sound module for the software sequencer. If you were sequencing an external device's tones, you'd set the tracks in question to MIDI.
The only real problem I see here is that there's a possibility of lag. I haven't done much sequencing between a keyboard and software, though using my EA-1 to program sequences in FruityLoops was not exactly perfectly accurate, had to adjust to the timing difference between reality and the software sequencer.
