When using the 8 outs, do the stock 2 outs still work, for a total of 10 outs? Like "8 outs for mono stuff, then the 2 stock for everything else".

yeh man, every sound will still go out thru the stereo outs, unless it is turned down, then it will only be output thru it indiv outputs. so yeah you have 10 outputs. the 8 outs are freely assignable, to fx/sounds. and everything else unless muted will go thru the stereo outs.

Or you can take one sound and pan it hard left to the left stereo out and pan another sound hard right to the right stereo out...

id it true that the analog input will be disabled when the 8outs are installed? and only the digital in will work?

.....concerning the 8 o/p board.

I have been given conflicting information about which board is suitable. www.Turnkey.co.uk have been telling me there is now 2 different 8 o/p boards. One for the S2000 and one for the MPC 2000/XL. They only work in their respective samplers.

I have always been under the impression there was one board that fitted BOTH samplers.

Can someone please clarify the situation with this as i have seen a board going cheap and i don't want to buy it mistakenly.

Cheers gents

The one for the mpc 2000xl is called IB/M208P.

There's a board for the s2000 called IB/208P.
