how long is this mammajammer supposed to take to save the entire memory?

wow, i had a spark of inspiration, and needed to change up songs real quick so i go to hit save entire memory just like i did last night and every other night for a cool minute.... . . . . . . . .

i been sittn here for like a good 25 minutes goin on 30...
and what was a spark has kinda chilled out compared to about 20 minutes ago.
waiting this long is a first for me and the file isnt that much different from when i last saved it which took closer to 5 mins or under, is this normal?

...and just now barely under 30 minutes i am back in the save menu. how long does it take to save the entire memory on the norm?
(i'm using about 10 tracks 10 sequences and drums and maybe some 3 second max samples with 10.9mb of free ram out of 128mb.
sorry for the long read, but any feedback is much appreciated

that don't sound normal at all.

i have a 1000 with the latest jj os (which are almost identical). but still, that don't sound normal.

i'd like to see more responses to this thread as well, to know what's going on.

i had a few glitching moments and purge freeze on mpc 1k with jj os i think around 4.3

i tried to purge out samples with memory like half maxed and it froze
when i had a good beat in and lost it
anyway sometimes wierd stuff just happens once in awhile that might be a bug or just a one time thing
probably fixed in more versions with so many updates you might have a bug but not remember the sequence of keys prior to saving etc.

that really sucks man i feel for ya

i´m waiting 30-45 min if i purge 200-300 short drumsamples in memory,
this is kind of weird because loading a new beat with the clear option is fast. maybe clearing is another process than purging...
