There is an additional bug/feature I've noticed, when I edit midi control data.
I'm not entirely sure if I dislike it or like it. Sometimes it is usefull, sometimes a pain!
If I record midi CC changes, say mod wheel, then decide I want to change it, I highlight the whole lot, overdub, insert. Use the Q links to "draw" the new shape" (which is an ACE feature) and it doesn't alter the CC level if it is above the line drawn.
i.e if I draw a flat line, the previously recorded midi CC data is overwritten if it was below the line level and remains if it is above the line.
The way to cure it is delete the data first, then insert.
I guess it is a bug, but sometimes its cool to be able to increase the "floor" value without removing any peaks.
The midi grid edit features really are excellent. Personally I don't see any problem with the layout or anything. Compared to grid edit in akai os, i.e. none, this is superb
A casual reader may get the impression some of you guys are a bit too critical of JJOS!
