El Cajon, CA - Blue Meannie Records

Anyone been there? How is it?

I'm taking a trip to San Diego in July but I'm actually gonna be staying in El Cajon. Just trying to find the local record shops online and this one came up.

was just down there this weekend looking for that spot, but couldn't find it.
it's on broadway and sorry i forgot the address. it's looks like i was on the right street but just in the wrong part. but I'll one up you with two spots I found just walking around downtown in S.D.

RECORD CITY
3757 6th & University
(619) 291-5313
(mostly jazz, soul and rock. there are some bins for hip-hop 12"s)

(forgot the name of this spot, but...)
Off shot or one shot
it's also on Unversity @ 30th street
no tel. # or address (sorry :( )
this spot is very sick. we talking rare sh!t for cheaper $$ than i've seen before.

I know this wasn't what you asked for but, if you can't find it you can always try these spots.

Off The Record...and yes you should go there if you're in SD. Just dropped $200 last weekend on some stuff I've been searching for, for like 10 years.

In Chula Vista, there's an underground, mixed tape, clothes, spoeaker, music, sell your own stuff if they think it's cool spot. from downtown san diego, 5 south, exit "h" street. It's on the left side of the street. Next to KEG AND BOTTLE liquor store, I'll get the exact address when I passby again later on today.

I buy ALL my mixed cd's there. GREAT STUFF and very friendly, they actually WILL sell your music if it don't sound too garbage. Make a deal with them.

Did you go?

I looked it up and my hotel is not even a mile away from this place. Hopefully it's cool.

Anyone know any other spots in El Cajon? Or somewhere not too far from the San Diego Convention Center?
