Additional support for manufacturing?

In the software release notes for the 2.11 OS, what does additional support for manufacturing mean? Maybe better compatibility with the MPK49?

I guess they either mean "production", as in music production (they are not very specific, are they?) or they are referring to the manufacturing of the MPC1000 - maybe they are using different suppliers of parts and made the MPC more compatible with different types of components? Not exactly a consumer level info I think, unless they want us to think they are having problems with the compatibility of OS and their hardware...
