Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Of course the shipping wasn't insured so i am in the process of trying to dispute the claim with paypal. None the less right now all I know that is broken is the Zip Drive. It won't load sounds and it won't eject the zip disk. I know that this is pretty easy to replace and I can upgrade it to a MCR drive.

My main question is do you think I am going to keep running into problems with the MPC? It turns on fine and everything seems to work pretty well, I can't load sounds because I don't have a external Zip so I can't really test it but after I replace the Zip do you think that there are going to be a lot more problems?? The MPC was pretty beat up since it was the wort packing job I have ever seen. What do you guys think?

Look inside it (bottom and top), be careful while doing that of course and if you put something out, put it back in the way it was before.

Unfortunately, no one will give you the answer to this particular question - are you gonna have more problems with mpc. But surely you can test it as soon as you replace the zip drive.
Why not sample some sounds and edit them, make some sequences and check if everything is fine. You don't need the drive for that.
By the way, always insure the package when ordering something valuable...it's better to pay 30 bucks more or so, but then you can claim a refund.

Yes you are going to have alot more problems. I will take the mpc off your hands for free. :D

execute some common sense, anything over $100 you should really insure, Ive seen these guys just throw boxes in & out of the transit trucks etc. A rule of thumb when making large purchases on ebay, is to sus out the Return Policy, The sellers feedback and just make communication with the seller. It seems some1 is getting burned here at least once a week. Its a shame.

I understand that it would be "common sense" to insure the package and If the seller hadn't shipped it before I could ask than I would have gotten it.

Also I can't test it because I can't get sounds into it. Unless I buy a new zip.

Test it by sampling sound into it,no need for zip drive for this.
