wooden sides and arm rest

any tips for making these? i got access to a lot of pro wood tools but dont no where to start really. how does forat go about doin em

I think if you take off the plastic sides, and show them to a wood worker, he ll surely tell you if he can do it or not. Its hella cheaper than forat, i m sure.

it should be straight forward if you are good with working with wood and power tools..

those side pannels are really easy to recreate.. the only tools i think you'll need is a power coping saw, router, sander and a drill.. you may not even need to coping saw. you might be able to use a jig saw or even the router to recreate the round edges on the 60 panels..

im on it. ill post pics when im done. i gots some nice light oak for it.

I made some quick ones. You can sorta see in the photo - cheap pine with a cherry wood stain. Just basically traced the outline of the side panels and, cut the wood, sanded , stained them and drilled holes where you need screws. Had to find slightly longer screws because they're thicker. You could get really creative with custom ones as long as you're able to find the right screws.

I'm planning on making some real decent ones soon. I'll post when done. The ones I made didn't come out so hot.

This is for the 2000xl but i figured that i'd post it anyway. I've made a few of these, this one is from last year. I'm just in the process of putting final touches to a few more stands with a different design, i'll post some pics next week.

Just thought I'd try to revive this thread....I'd like to see some pics of custom work!

Yeah.. I'm super keen to get some wood sides for my MK1 60, so that it matches my moog voyager. I guess I should just take the plastic sides off and go visiting some wood workers.. I'll let yo know if i have any luck.
