Track problems

Wusup everyone! i need some help, i have my MPC 2000 in sync with my Roland Fantom Xa. When i record a track 01 (MIDI 1a) and then go to the next Track 02 (MIDI 2a) and try to find a new sound by pressing the keys, the sound from track 01 is playing over the new sound, can anyone help???

sounds like you need to change the midi channel on the fantom..
