Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

wow, a lot of the set up here look great. even when it's simple.

to me, one thing that stands out is the furniture, racks, and stands. it just makes the set up look a lot more inviting.

i can't wait till i have enough money to get some nice furniture. i'm getting pretty sick of my ghetto-ass set up.

j-villa, thanks for the props. it means a lot. :)

@om
Haven't used it in a while (It's in storage right now cause of moving)
did some freaky stuff with some samples
But mainly use it as sample player (got mad libraries for it)
The sound of the filters is just phatt.
Also the effects sound good.
Damn I miss that thing, Might pick that thing up one of these days.

Looks like the ASR-X has been hit pretty hard, but no tags or stickers on the MPC4000?

Second photo taken about 45 minutes ago (5:04pm, May 16, 2007).

The keyboard slides away out of the way underneath the mixer and MPC4000 so I have more leg space when not using it.

I have to say I think you got one of the tightest studios around! Although I use the mpc1000, I still give you mucho respect on your setup. So neat and organized. Mine is that way too. Just wanted you to know I dig your setup!

Are those Yamaha NS-10s? How are you liking those? I don't hardly see them around that much anymore.
