what's the deal with Applause records? I grabbed Jimmy Smith Plain Talk on Applause for a couple bucks, and it sounds fine, great... What's the deal?

Applause is official or unofficial or what?

the majority of the stuff i got is all original pressed..

i've never heard of the pressings on applause records....

likely because i dont have many blue note pre-1964

oldest probably being the stereo 70's repressing of juju and speak no evil from wayne shorter

back in those days the company's were going through a lot , it may be something on a tempary label only made a few press's i need to get this book and see if it got jazzy musician in it, but theres a boook that tells you al bout missprints and shi+ like that. i try to look it up
