I've been reading all about the defective pads on the 1k and I was just curious as to if I would be able to use my MPD16 in place of the shitty pads that come on the 1k...? I notice the MPD16 has a MIDI output, I'm guessing I would be able to do it through this?

iin my opinion it would be a **** to work with just not as accesible and space saving....idk tho it shuld control the pads

yeah, you can do that...the mpd16 pads feel way better but you can't access any functions like load or save using the mpd pads...also 16 levels won't work with the mpd16 (or any midi controller hooked up through midi to the mpc).
