its not that record in particular, but here are the reasons i think it was a bargain:-
-it was £1
- its on vinyl
- no scratches/ marks
- its a classic
- lastly, i consider 'man in the mirror' to be the breaking point of wacko's career, this is the point where he started to write the self indulgent, sentimental mawkish nonsense that developed into things like 'heal the world' and all his other whiney slush. 'BAD' is like a crossroads in music, he could have done absolutely anything after that record, and even though 'dangerous' is acceptable, just look at the path he chose... how the mighty have fallen. Blood on the dancefloor? please.....
this is from the 6 year old that sang rockin' robin, the voice of ABC, the whole of THRILLER, for f#*k sake.... now the man can't even get a decent gig, why? cos the sad fact is he's all washed up.
and whaddya know, england held their own, well done lads!
