Extracting the different sounds

Hey wat up ppl. i just got an MPC 500 and im foolin around with it. Ive learned a little bit of how to put a sequence together and how to record a sample from a differnt song and load it and stuff. KNow the problem is how to extract the different parts of the song i just downloaded. I read that part and it doesn't tell u much so does anyone know how to help me out i would appriciate it ... -1-

If you want to split a sample into multiple parts I suggest you use a free sample editor like audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net) and a computer.

It can be done on a MPC500 (check page 69 "extract" in the manual) but it lacks the easy sample chopping features of the bigger MPC's.
