Newbie Question: Can't record enough time...

Hey guys, I've been having some trouble figuring out my MPC and I actually joined the boards just to ask this question. I don't have any upgrades or anything on my MPC, by the way. Anyway, I'm trying to get a song from my keyboard onto the MPC, but it only lets me record for 39 seconds. Does anyone know why?

You need to upgrade your RAM.

Because you only have 16mb internal memory, and 4mb are used so you only got 12mb left so that makes you around 1 min to record audio...

You really need to upgrade to 128mb! Buy a kingston 256mb ram they're cheap.

also, if you can't afford the RAM upgrade right now, try setting up to record in mono. You'll be able to record twice as much.
