I think Akai it's should provide some "in-house" videos showing off their products. The support team over there are great (you da man Justin, holla !!!), but Akai would probably save themselves a lot of time and hassle by producing a series of free online video tutorials for those new to the MPC.
I know the MPC is not hard to learn to program, but that's not the point - a range of videos would both gain Akai more customers by showing the MPC's ease of use, and keep those new customers happy. Besides, although YouTube is great, we shouldn't have to hunt through home made videos to get what is effectivly product support, especially when we're dealing with a name as big in the game as Akai.
Two of the guys in my team have defected to the Roland MV-8800, purely based on the stuff they read online before they bought them. I'm sticking with Akai, I have an MPC500 and an MPC1000 - think they're both great. Besides, I believe the MPC is more tactile (I've upgraded the pads on the 1000).
