just got the mpc 1000 since a week and already built 5 nice beats but there are still lots of questions and theres always the point where i need an answer....

i started makin beats 5 years ago with reason and i love this program but what i was missing was the direct contact to the music and the mpc gives me that!

i almost love my baby even more than anything else ...

questions:

1.wheres the difference between the jj os 3.0 and the new one???

2.how works the time stretch???

3.sometimes wehen im recording, the sample stops or doesnt play to the end and it keeps like that until i press undo....mostly happens when i record track 5-8 like hi hats or something.....is that an old os bug???

4.how can i resample a done song to make a wav file straight out of it???

5.how can i mute or delete certain parts of a done sequence???

6.how do i switch from 1/16 to 1/32 to make the hihat go real fast???

7.is it normal that the main button sometimes needs a bit to react???

thats alot of questions.

I would say sort through the last 5-10 pages of the MPC1000 forum and you will find every single one of them.

2. in the TRIM screen hit edit and then go to timestretch.
I usually use the default setting. But make sure you have the correct Original tempo.

3. check in the manual about poly vs. Mono on your programs. also check Note On vs. Note off.

4. just record the beat to your PC or digital recorder. OR there is a convert option in song mode.

5. MOde + Step Edit

6. Hold down the tap tempo or use the function key for T.C.
