EQing

Ive been told that eqing improves the sounds of samples and drums.
My question is where does the eqing take place, in the sampler, dj mixer , in the mixing process or can it done in any one of these?

doesn't matter, really.

i think the EQ effect on the 2kxl sounds really weird, so i usually batch EQ my samples beforehand. but with 8-outs you can record onto the computer and EQ there too, if you want.

I've done that before also, to great effect actually.
