Losing sequences in 1.12

Losing sequences in 1.12 during working on the mpc.
Anyone else with the same problem?

Please be more specific about your problems so we can test if we have them too!

Akai doens't read these forums (probably), contact [email protected] and tell them you have problems, explain what, how and when something happens and try to make it as clear as possible.

I actually search for a person who does know why this happens.
1.11 has a such a thing 2 , but I know there why I lose seq. data and can work around it. I don't count on Akai anymore.

I have the whole sequence with about 8 tracks played ready, then I start to copy bars, shift timing, timing correction, move notes, delete notes, overdub notes and stepedit notes. not necessary in that order. I don't know how it happens neither.

Right, now I understand (a little).

I got my MPC500 just a few days ago, so I have no experience with the 1.11 O.S. it shouldn't be very different if you look at the release notes.

On the other hand, I contacted Akai about the new feature "128 programs in stead of 24" in version 1.12 which, as it turns out... isn't even implemented.

If you haven't had trouble with 1.11 in the past, you might be right sticking with it until Akai releases a fixed 1.12 or a 1.13 O.S.

You need to document a process that you follow to achieve this issue otherwise how are we or Akai supposed to replicate it and identify the problem ?

Trust me, Akai personnel do read these forums, very regularly.

Document the process and then send it direct to Akai support in a polite email. Post it here also so we can try the same.

Saying something is faulty and swearing off Akai is hardly a constructive way of dealing with the issue

I don't count on akai because of my experiences and the experiences with the customer service I know from other people.
I said it, true, but my confidence in akai is ofcourse not the most important reason why I started this topic.

We (and Akai) can help if you document a process for us to follow that replicates your issue every time.

So, give them (and us) a chance to help by documenting the issue so we can replicate it.
