AKAI JJ OS COMPARISON CHART - PLZ Approve / Confirm!

Okay, here is the Part of the coming manual with the OS Comparison chart. It's based on Mr. Modnars Chart from the other Thread but I added some stuff.

JJ OS 3.06 release date: 10/3/2007, should be 10/3/2006.

Sliced Samples (mono/stereo): should also be available in mono as well as stereo for both versions of the JJ OS


Time Stretch/ Pitch shift was added on Akai version 2.0

if you thought OS 1.07 sucked, you'd cringe if you were using the 1k when all we had was version 1.03 and 1.05. there were alot of issues with timing and some other bugs, which made alot of people replace their 1k's with the 2kxl.
i almost did the same until 1.07 was released.
but anyway, 2.10 and 2.11 still continue to tell how akai just can't get their sh!t together.

I'm going back to 2.11 cuz I MUST have 128 programs. JJ is really slackin with only 99 programs. I need at LEAST 103 to get my projects done. Ha. Man I had 1.03. I LOVED that OS.

maybe at the end would seem more appropriate. (and then a little explanation underneath. but i saw that you thought of that).

did you mention bug fixes? i reckon it should be there. maybe not in details. just something like.
akai 2.10 -> new bugs from previous version.
jj 3.06 -> bug fix from previous verions.
jj 4.xx -> more bug fixes from previous versions.

anyway, really helpful chart. great answer to the "versus" type of thread.

Bug Fixes / new Bugs will and cannot be part of this feature comparison! The OS versions listed in there have to be seen as milestones of their respective development phases. Personally I don't think there are many bugs left in 4.68. That's why it is not final yet. As a user I am more interested in the features than in the bug history. I don't think 3.06 has stereo slicing.
