stonetrooper wrote:I might be able to help you..first of all!.. akp file .. why would you need that on your mpc? and IMO bluebox aint nothin u shouldnt have 2 use that. and also you said you loaded a midi file onto the mpc? ( what do you mean did you transfer a midi file from your pc onto it wtf)?.. whenever you do midi on the mpc you need go to where it says type: drum and change it to where it says midi then go to where it says Midi: and change it to whatever channel your using. I still dont fully understand your problem though man
What stonetrooper, you've never put a midi file in your mpc1k??
When you load a midi file it creates a new sequence.
Haven't done it in a while, but as i remember, you just got to copy the track in to a new track in your sequence (not the one created by the midi file import) and of course set that track to the correspomding program you gonna use.
Importing midi files into the mpc is cool, almost like having rex capability!
and ps. Stonetrooper is wrong about having to change drum to midi.
that just affects how you view and edit the info in grid. Most people i know prefer the drum grid, especially if it's drum or perc on the track!
