SPDIF Help.

Okay so I have the RCAs going to and from the Digi002r.

Hit record in PT and I get nothing.

Can y'all help me get this config'd.

So I have my spdif i/o connected to the 002r i/o.

Akai on stereo out. Pt stereo audio track inputs set to 17/18(spdif) and I dont get anything in pt.

Also, I'm not getting any signal into the mpc from pt via the digital input.

Are you syncing the audio interface to spdif?

ive been trying to figure this one out too
dont we have to assign the pads to the digital out???
i couldn't find in the mp to assign them to the spdif, i only saw ST and the other 8 analog outs

Digital outs mirror the mainouts and are always on.
It's in your manual somewhere.


SPDIF has it's own spec where it deserves SPDIF spec cables and NOT regular RCA cables. YOu CAN use them though you will NOT be in SPDIF specs. 44khz digital is the signal that coes out the SPDIF. It is NOT, I repeat it is NOT an anaolg signal and it won't work unless the gear connected to the other end is not receiving/transmitting a 44khz signal.

Okay, how about someone running PT 7.0 or higher....

Any settings in PT I might be overlooking?

Under "Hardware settings" I have it set to RCA(Spdif) and not optical.
