sync question

okay.. now that i got my mpc in slave mode syncing to cubase... (mpc 2500)
there's only one problem left...

when I stop the song so does the mpc... (so far so good)

but when i move to an other part of the song (in cubase) the mpc doesnt follow..

so lets say I move from 001.01.00 to 020.01.00 (in Cubase) why doesnt the mpc do the same??

I sure need some help on this one..

I suppose you are using Midi Time Code. Good choice, better than Midi Clock. However, the downside of it is that MTC doesn't follow these changes. Only in Midi Clock sync mode you can change song position (while being in stop mode) in both,mpc and cubase.
In MTC, when you change the song position in cubase and when cubase is not playing, shortly after you press play again in cubase,mpc will follow this change.

thanx for your help but with me its the other way around.. after your reply i tried mtc.... and what happend... the mpc starts folowing position...

but there comes the other problem.. it doest play in sync anymore..
and also the first few seconds of my beat are chopped of...

I need all of this because I record my vocals in cubase and i'm using the mpc 4 the beats (before it was cubase and reasen but do to the lack of my procesor i switched over to the mpc)

so if you or someone else could help me please... I need it..

Try setting the mpc as the master (MTC) and Cubase as slave, thats the way i do it.

And one more thing, when using MTC. Remember, that you have to allow a few seconds for the perfect sync to appear. I always leave 2 bars 4/4 at the beginning, it does the job.
