RESAMPLING

I have a 2500 and ive been an mpc head for 7 years, I would like to know if it is possible to resample the whole song. I have read the manual and tried for a few weeks but when i attempt to resample the outputs it does not record the changes, I am also running jj3.o4. All help will be appreciated, and please no silly comments i am not an amatuer or person who does not rtfm. Thanks Team

Maybe check if that version of the JJ OS supports resampling at all. The JJ forum may be the right place for that.

I checked but not much info, i can resample its just that when i do it in song mode it wont sample the whole song it will just record the 1st sequence

it sorta is. What you do is:

Make a huge sequence (either arrange all the shit, but I don't like that.
What I do is:
one 2 bar sequence, song mode, loop the 2 bars like 100 times. Then record your track mute action. Save that shit.)
Go into record and go for record from main output. Hit record and then play.

Wait until your song is finished. save the new sample, that is your whole song.




You will need a lot of memory to do hat though.

I'm not sure that's what he wants to do. You can repeat a single sequence without using Song mode as well.

Basically i want to resample in song mode and burn the file, the problem is it wont record the transitions in song mode

I think you can convert your song to a new single sequence as well. You just have to make sure all sequences use the same track assignments, otherwise it gets mixed up. Resample that new sequence, and it wouldn't use more memory than resampling directly.

ie each track is unmuted (delete all events in tracks you had muted)
ie each track has the same velocity, etc.

it's a pain to go through and make sure it all has the same stuff but for a quick bounce of one's audio to a single wav file it's nice to be able to do it.

yeah, i've learnt that the hard way. its a right biatch to sort it all afterwards.
