Is the Internal Zip on the XL slow?

Im thinkin bout coppin the new blue XL but I was wonderin if the XL internal zip's are slow? XL user's wit internal zip's on there XL's holla at me and let me kno what's real Thankx!

Its a lil bit slower if your samples are in wav. formatt and a lil bit faster if your samples are in akai format. but over all not a problem to wait under aminute for everything to load up.

if ya ask me i'd take a slower internal than a faster external anyday.

taking my mpc on the road is easy now.. just grab the box and my disks and i'm ready to go. only need one power input and no lugging around the extra zip drive and SCSI cable.

also, i was always scared someone might trip over the cable or unplug it without knowing what would happen. i'm saving my SCSI input for a controled environment like the home studio. get me a nice cdrom/hd upgrade.

btw i haven't noticed much of a difference since i made the switch 2 months ago.

I always thought there was something about the scsi drives that were faster. I actually found out its more to do with which size zip drive you get. My internal 100s are slow as hell. My external 250 is way faster. I recently installed an internal 250 and its just as fast as the scsi one. The 750 is supposed to be even faster than that... but can't write to 100s with it.
