Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey,

I have a drum program I am trying to work with right now.
It's all just from samples loading from my scsi thru cd rom, nothing to do with midi at all.

When I have that playing on my mpc, then change patches on the keyboard (I have two hooked up) it stops playing the sequence on my mpc.

Since the program isn't midi at all that is playing on my mpc, I am wondering why the sound stops on it when I change patches on the keyboard, you know, maybe something with the settings on the midi input screen? What are they supposed to be set to?

Thanks

Midi input filter screen, set program change to off on the internal sampler settings.

What is happening is your synth sends a program change message to the MPC and it thinks you are telling it to change the mpc program. If you only have one, it changes it to empty.

Elmacaco- Thanks
I appreciate your explaining why and all too.
Seems like I should just never ever set anything to ever do program changes...ever, and I'll be ok.
