Ac power cord comes out easy.

Hi every one, This question might be quite silly, but I tripped over my mpc500 ac power cord a few times, causing it to get pulled out of the mpc? I am pretty sure that it's my immagination, but it seems like the cord comes out of the mpc quite easy. It fits snug, but just is very easy to pull out. Is it just me? or is this really so? Also, could I have caused any dammage to the unit by the cord coming out while the unit was on? I then plugged it back in and the machine booted fine, but I am just wondering weather or not I could have caused any dammage? Thanks in advance for any help.

I almost have to be violent to get my cord out of the MPC. It's (luckily) a standart DC in and can be easily replaced.

Ok then, may be I am not pushing the cord far in enough? How far should it be plugged in? Is there a little space between the plug end and the mpc? or does it plug right in so that there is no space at all? Is it also hard for you to push it right in? There is a reasuring click when I plug it in, but there is a little space between the cord and the mpc it self? And it's also quite easy to pull out. It does not slip out or any thing, just is easy to pull out? Thanks again.

You can also fix it on your own by cracking the magix box open and VERRY DELICATE bending the outher metal part in the DC in. But BE CAREFULL!
BTW. The warranty wil die when you open this instrument!

Just wondering, how can they notice if you've opened the box?

The litle monster has gotten out .
There is some red paint on the screws, and when you turn them the paint cracks. I am from Denmark and over here there is a rule/law that says:

If you can get the seller to say that it is covered by the warranty before they ship it for repair, they would have to pay the bill no matter what.

I dont know if it is the same where all of you guys are, but i have used this trick once

Its a shame the power plug comes out this easy, I wouldn't trust it on a live performance. But if you fit the MPC with batteries it won't shutdown if someone yanks out the power by accident.

Also if someone trips on the powercord it might be a good thing that the plug comes out rather than having the MPC flying around the room.

Could you post some pictures of the inside of the MCP500, I can't find any on the internet! I can't open up my own unit without breaking my warranty here in The Netherlands.
