syncing the 2500 with JJ to protools

i'm using the mpc as a slave and locking it to protools using midi beat clock. it lines up with the grid much better than the akai os, but i'm having an issue.

i'm doing this in song mode. if i play the entire song from top to bottom it works fine. but when i stop the song and start over in protools, from the beginning or anywhere else, the mpc will not go back to the beginning. i have to either hit play start on the mp and then stop so it's at the beginning or hit the arrow keys to highlight the beginning of the song.

also if i start the protools session in the middle it doesn't play the right parts.... ie it doesn't know what bar it's on in the song.

i just started using JJ on the 2500 and i'm using 5.20 right now, so i'm not sure if this is a new bug or an ongoing JJ issue.

anyone else have any experience with this?

YO basically when i track in PT in song mode i just trigger a blank sequence (Using Pro tools)thats like 8 bars long before the actual song then i wait until the MPC starts from PT (while the blank 8 bar seq is playing) i then turn the knob onto the actual song sequence so that it plays next.
