turntable feedback, humming, help.

I've got a numark tt 200 turntable, going into a phono pre-amp, into a little beringer mixer, into my mp 2000 (og). I'm getting alot of feadback or humming from the turntable, when i turn it up loud enough to see the waveform,while sampling, the noise is unbearable. Any help would be GREAT! I've all my connections right.......I think.

which phono pre-amp are you using?

sounds like you need a ground.

ground your TT. it will solve your problem.

IF that dosnt work (which it SHOULD), then i would say that mixer is the problem

Ground wire is hooked up. It's alot worse when its not. Any way to trouble shoot the mixer?

what kind of mixer you got? just curious....
what preamp you usin?

At work, not sure what the brand the pre-amp is? Little $50 joint from guitar center. The mixer's a beringer 802, small one.

behringer mixer.... oh boy. you get what you pay for

not saying its your mixer that caused the problem. i dont know. but the grounding should have worked. try taking the preamp out of the signal and see if the hum is still there. or try running the TT directy into your mpc and cutting the mixer out. see if that helps. figure out which piece is bringing the noise in

if the ground wire isnt the problem, check how loud ur volume is set to?
turntables have an inherent hum, and if the volume is all the way up, then the hum will be unbearable.

had the same issue i had my usb line plugged in to the turntable take that mother out itcreates the hmmm

TT200's don't got USB. Why do you need a pre-amp when you're running it into a DJ mixer. It's not needed. Pre-amp should only be for straight hookups

Fu-ck me, calm down dear, it's only a forum!!!

maybe your turntable is too close to the speakers (or it stands on the same table), in that case the rumble in caused by the vibrations that make the turntable resonate at high volume.
try to move the TT away of the speaker
