hy,
after half a year with my mpc1k, i would say it was the best buy ever.
but some little things still worries me.
first: i start loading different programs, then build some sequences.
my favorite workflow turned to be that i change to "track mute" and have the different tracks muted there by pads.
to change to a next sequence, i either turn the wheel or i change to "next seq" - and back.
when i am finished , i save the entire memory into a folder.
the next time i start up, i just load this folder, and my set is here as it was.
but now, when i change something - or just make any new sequences,
how would you recommend me to save ?
create a whole new folder and save the entire memory again,
or just go into the old folder and create a new Project-file beside the existing -
or just rename the existing and overwrite ?
until now i just created a new folder for every changes i made,
and just name them with numbers , so i know wich one was the last.
it`s also good to kind of go back in time, if some changes of last night didn`t sound as good the morning after.
this way i just found out that after a few times saving the changes,
more and more samples in single programs are missing when i load them up again.
not much, one in this prog. two in the next.
but it still worries me, because i don`t get prompted that a sample is missing, like i would when i load up a single programm.
(i tryed this today, so i know - and btw: in this case it tells me that a sample is missing,
but doesn`t ask me where to look for this sample, because it sure is on the drive)
what do you guys mean ?
