Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

ight so iv been messin around with my mpc and i deleted the programs on da main screen(and now some sounds are gone), and then i took the autoload off. so recently i wuz tryin to find the sample like da guy saying "mpc2500", but now i cant find it when i look for in in da load screen, but when i put the back on the autoload the seq come up but the programs have ? marks of em, and when i go to the program page i and go throught the samples now i cant find da "mpc2500" sample, what did i doo wrong? did i mess up the memory card ? i hnik i need to get another one, does n e one know where i can get another one

Don't panic..You can't delete any data off your CF card from the main screen..

To checkout what samples are on the CF card you have...While in LOAD from memory card press the WINDOW button and then cursor and you'll hopefully see that everything (samples) are still there but you need to Load them...
Try loading the program for a start...Hopefully it was saved with samples.

I do recommend you get another if a few CF Cards for a backups.

i know what u mean but what i wuz sayin wuz dat when i first got mpc i wuz messin around with it and deleted the pgm on da main page, so when i would look for certin sounds like da dude sayin "mpc 2500" i cant find it in da load page. the only way i could get the sample wuz by turning the autoload on, which wuz buggin me out b/c i could find it in da load page except for when i program the sound for each pad with the auotoload on

when you are in the load page highlight the field where it says memorycard or harddisk and then switch to internal memory. there you find the factory samples if you not deletet them (overwritten them with your own samples).
also the factory sounds (plus some more) are on the cf-card that came with your mpc (if you didn“t delete or formated the card).
if you did delete all of the mentioned there have been several forum members uploading the content of the cf-card (there is even the extended collection akai included on the 128mb cards that shipped with some units online). just search the 1000 and the getting started forums aswell.
