solving that hollow feeling

you know when ur battering at the pads n ur kinda sure its gonna cave in one day?

well ive been thinking about filling in around the pads under the case with cigarette filters or thin rolls of newspaper to make it feel more solid

what yous think?

I think thats a fire hazard. if you do decide not to get your mpc serviced (!) then I'd use something less light-able.

Seriously, whats gone wrong with them? Mines no' too bad.

if you've gotta do this, use thin (THIN) packing foam cut to complement the mold

but it's not going to "Cave in." there's nothing to cave besides the FSR and that's not going to happen unless it receives a completely crazy amount of trauma.

Pads feel absolutely fine on mine.

Just a thought but I've got the MPee on a pretty solid table with quite a bit of other weight on the table. The table is just a top on four legs on a steel frame, typical office fare, no boxy bits to it.

Just looking at things from a different prespective...

well my mp is on top of my akai s3000xl which is on top of a fairly sturdy fold up table altho in retrospect if it were on the floor i can imagine it to be alot more solid
