im getting kinda tight on money these days, so im thinking of selling my maxed MPC 2000xl and possibly cop a MPC 1000. the way i see it...everything i do on the 2000xl i can also do on the 1000. plus, i like the 1000's smaller size and usb compatibility.
the only thing preventing me from making this move is the issue with the 1000's build quality (like the pads wearing out quick, etc.)
i dont put my 2000xl through harsh use. i take care of my shit and when i use the machine, i dont ever hit the pads too hard. full velocity is on alot too, so there isnt always a reason to hit the pads that hard.
the question is...with good care, how long will the mpc 1000's pads last me before they start **** up?
would you sell your XL for a 1000?
also, from the sticky about repairing thepads, has this method been proven to last over time? or will i constantly be changing and repairing my pads?
