RE: MPC 1000 and Reason --Is it possible!?!

I was curious if anyone has tried this (and would be even more interested if it worked for any of you out there).

Anyway, I would like to run the MPC 1000 as a slave to Reason (i.e. build the sequence within the MPC and then record the sequence as a single track (or as two tracks --one for each side) within Reason.

Have any of you tried this and succeeded?

Or, would I have to run Reason out of ProTools and then just record the MPC sequence that I would build --hypothetically- as a separate track within ProTools, that I would run alongside whatever I would put together in Reason.

I'm probably making no sense, but if any of you follow me and can suggest anythin that could help me get this up and running, I would be sincerely appreciative.

you answered ur own question. with the scond method.
rewire reason to protools, then sync your mpc to protools with mpc as the master....i think!!! maybe you should go and ask some questions on a protools forum

Really? What kind of weak ass music program does not record audio? Magix records audio.

howsabout you google reason or partially understand it out before slammin on it.

how come absynth or battery doesnt record audio? because they're all instruments, not editors.

maybe you just should not use reason. if you have to rewire something...........

I been able to set up reason 2.5 and my mpc 1000. I can record the notes on the mpc using Reason's as a sound module. The only issue is that the timing is way off. It seems that the mpc records the notes but the timming correct is not doing it's job. I have to record parts in 1/32 notes in order to get the timming I usually get in other sequencers using 1/16 notes. I am not sure if I have some setting incorrect.
If something has been posted in regards to this please point me to it.

I am using....MPC 1000, Mbox 2 and Reason 2.5 if anyone has this type set up please shoot me a kite and help me out.
