I will be receiving the Roger Linn O.S. upgrade for my MPC 60 tommorow and I was wondering how hard will it be to install? If there is anyone on here that has installed one before please help me out.I have concerns as to how hard it is to get the old eprom chips out and put the new ones in.I do not want to mess anything up.Also does anyone know where I can buy a really nice backlight for an MPC 60(I have the first model).

It's easy, check the backlight switch post 3 below for how to open it up. It comes with instructions, just unplug it, touch the power supply transformer before opening the chips and avoid static electricity (don't wear socks on carpet, etc.) Probably nothing will mess up if you don't monkey around.

You can download the instructions for the installations from the Rlinn site.

The manual is great, and fun to read too!

Man I would love to have an old 60 or 60II with the upgrade. What are the main differnces between the 60 and 60II?

The MK2 has a different styled case. It also has an earphone jack. Internally they're the same.
