Hi all I'm Jon, I am new to this forum and to mpc production, I have been using roland samplers for about a year - and eventually bit the bullet and went for the 2000xl. The machine is immaculate and is a pleasure to play, its easy to appreciate why AKAI's are so highly regarded. I got the machine and upgraded the floppy to a card reader.
Anyway. My problem (or lack of understanding) - I sliced a sample into 16 zones from one program and it was automatically assigned to a new program. I saved it all successfully etc. However, I want these new 16 samples to be assigned to another bank within the original program.
So i load up the original program and try to assign one of the new slices to a spare pad bank, but i cannot locate the new samples. Could this be an issue of the new slices not being laoded into memory? (even though i have already loaded the new program)
Any ideas?
Much appreciated.
Jon
