Hey all,
I'm curious how MPC1000 users, or other MPC users without the CD-M25 (I just got my MPC2500 without a CD-M25), are able to use true Akai format sample CDs. These CDs aren't readable in Windows, so it's seemingly impossible to drag the contents to your CF or MPC Hard Drive.

I looked at a program called CDXTRACT (http://www.cdxtract.com) which appears it can dump the WAV files from the disc out to my PC's hard drive (so I could subsequently move them to my CF or MPC HDD), but it doesn't appear to be able to spit out the .PGM files as well, unless I'm missing something. The .PGM information is a huge part of the reason to use Akai format sample CDs, no? I'm interested in using a few Akai format sample CDs but I won't have a CD-M25 for some time and I don't want to have to map out every included sound to the pads myself if I can avoid it. Anyone have any advice or information? Thanks.
