when i get a sample and auto chop it i loose sound quality.
its almost like its filtered the top end slightly.
if i sample say "different strokes" intro break you can hardly hear
the "ehhh".
i tried sampling a solo piano but all i get is the background crackle mostly.
its well weird.
i cant find anything on this matter anywhere.
the slices are of a lower quality than the origional sample.
maybee you pay the price for conveineince but i miss my 2000xl.
the reason i whent to hardware sampling was for improved sound but my mpc1000 slices sound unproffesional.
i have been chopping manualy cos of this and am thinking of goin back to 2000 or xl.
please if anyone can shed some light on this matter i would be incredibly gratefull.
