im sorry, but im not feelin this at all. the lyrics were the worst.
By buttonpusha Mon Apr 12, 2004 9:33 pm
The vocals were really off....one guy sounds louder than the other. I wasnt feeling the beat at all. It sounds very corny. The drums have no punch at all.....hmmmm. Sorry man, I just wasnt feeling it. Reminds me of Boac and the Earthlings....anybody ever heard of them??? Anyways, they are wack!!! In a world where anybody with a PC can become mc's and producers.....more and more garbage keeps coming out. I know im not the only one that feels this way.

and is it the lyrics that are of, meaning a problem in the writing, or is it bervaly, a problem speaking them

writing and flow. You need some work. The beat was a little corny and thats bout it. You need better subjects, metaphors, hooks, rhyme scemes and talent. I hate to be brutality honest, but you need to put in a lot more work. It will come just practice and read more and beef the vocab up.

let me write ths out (dont mind the numbers, they are the bars im supposed to soem in at)

13: you want real hip hop, fine you can have it/
14: but first whats the way that you imagine it/
15: is it a mentor to guide, from youth minded to established
16: or lyrically acrokbatik, freestyles and battle tracks man
17: how about political facts, written for reactions
18: Those subliminally say, unite as one and take action
19: is it about the math, additions and subtractions
20: cant forget equations, and scientifical explanations
21: knowledge and educations, and metaphorical speculations
22: not just emcees, but DJ’s in concentration
23: producers with MPC’s sampling from techniques
24: keyboards, triton LE’s and electronic simulation
25: analog or digital, what’s your preferation
26: I like punchy snares, their always in my favorites
27: grimy acoustic, how you like your music
28: how do you define what’s real, since you’re the one to choose it
29: what’s underground, beats done with fruity loops
30: is it low budget with dudes, broadcasting from their bedrooms
31: for the love, for amusement, with drugs and not a clue
32: a record label that actually accepts you for you
33: rock it over beats, even when they change up, but
34: rhyming in your head afraid to speak up,
35: smoke yourself red, then cypher with your friends
36: observing from a distance, then writing it in lead
37: wit-ness a journey, fit-ness up early
38: with this we’re worthy, miss-fits aren’t learning
39: is this underground, what you hear right now
40: in my opinion, it seems to fit the pro-file

it's supposeced to be a track from an observation perspective. this isn't a cut you up in a battle track piece obvisiouly. soem times it sounds like a simple thought, but it's the perspective i see on hip hop right now

if im really thaty wack, someone tell me so i can quit MCing. i think ive said what i needed to anyways

i mean dawg if u really wanna hear it.. then yeah, that shyt was whack.... first off the beat is on some otha stuff... like some off da wall circus beat.... i mean, and the delivery sounded like Em hyped up on some mad sherm... the lyrics had a lot of big vocabulary that didn't have anything to do with anything, but was not well put together, and the mix on there is off da wall....... now i won't tell u to quit, cuz i'd never advise someone to quit thier dream.. If rappin means that much 2 u, then stick wit it, just be more on point wit urs, practice it, write ur azz off, and do da damn thang... and your producer... fire him.. lol

alright **** the beat, if you all can ignore that. it's amy friends beat and it was made for jokes, a while ago.

im concerned about my part, i need honest constructive feedback. i need people to point some shit out, so i know how to change it. when i do something i do it to the best of my abilities, and if those boundries aren't far i need to be educated and learn how to be more precise and on point, to exceed my personal boundries.

of course there are problems with mixing, it was a live track, the vocals are off, of course, it's a live track, the beat you may not like, thats your preference, i thought it was funny as hell.

my lyrics aren't the best choice, but yet i explained what i was tryign to say well, and i chose the lyrics for the paper, not anyways else.

im concerned about voice/flow/and timing, you all can hat the lyrics, vocals, beat, i dont care thats tyour preference. but i need to have a decent rhyming voice, flow, and timing/rhythm. like i said i do things the best way i can, if it's not done right its cause i dotn know how to do it yet. so if im off it's not like im tryign to make a clown of myself.

so if someone is willign to help me out, could you please explain where my problems show up the most, how they are problems, and how tto fix it. and if you dont know who i am, im the 2n'd voice in the track -or- the 1st verse after the hook done by my friend.

yo, if your mans made that beat for jokes, a while ago, why would you rap over it and post it up here??? put some hot ish on here man! lets hear a beat he did thats not for jokes. if you though the beat was funny as hell, why are you trying to spit serious stuff on it??? unless your verse is supposed to be funny (i got a little chuckle out of it). You gotta listen to some good hip hop and hear how they ride the beat. I dont even think you were listening to the beat when you busted you "flow". Cmon man, you know what you gotta do. I want you to make somethin hot and post it up here. Dont quit! Prove us wrong! Bob ya head to the beat! Dont flow over beats made "just for jokes". Stop using big words just to use em!!!! (metaphorical spectulations, no one wants to hear about that sh!t). YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!! simplicity will hit the listener quicker than that stuff your doin. Your trying to make people think, but it aint gonna work. you gotta have fun with it yo! BOB YOUR HEAD TO THE BEAT!

yo how long have you been producing. I am not trying to insult you. I was just curious to when you started. Its okay to do wack ish. I do about two or three wack joints daily. It just takes a while to get your ish on point. DOnt let us get you discouraged. Just go back and try again, but this time listen to what people were critizing. You got potential, but you need to work. But really critize your own music first. Like study that ish and listen to what you think that honestly could be a lot better. Also come back to it. Save it and come back to that ish, you find that you will have a fresh perpesticive on that ish. If you in the lab creating all day that ish is mentally draining. You gotta take breaks and come back to it. Thats the important part. And the lyrics. I aint knockin your music, but I think you are throughin in details/refernces that only hip hop producers, not nessacerily, DJs, Graff Heads, Emcees, and B-Boys, can appericate. I am not telling you to "sell out" or comprimise what you think is straight or whatever, but think of trying to make your rhymes have a little more feeling in em and you need to work on your flow. Needs to sound more geniuine. It comes off as a weak delviery. just dont feel that you need to cover the whole state of hip hop in one verse.
