Thank you all for your insite. My buddy has a 1000 and almost all of his pads have gone out as well as certain buttons on the 1000. That's how i knew that the 1000 had issues. It's good to know that the 500 sounds like a good pick. Thanks again.

$600 seems like a cool price, at the same time I sold mine for 550....so maybe you can find a better deal if you look around a litte bit.

That is a good price. Did your come with anything like the 128mb expansion rram or a cf card? Either way its still a good price. I got my 500 for $500 new. Had to get the extras seperate.
But I dont regret my purchase at all.

If you have a MPC4000,
Then go for the mpc500, you dont need another main machine...
Battery power is cool, no plugs....
I have a 1000 and a 500 and I am happy with my setup....
Trust me, the mpc1000 is not as portable as people say.........
Also, the Idk why people say the pads are bad, maybe bc Ive never seen otherwise...

I got the 500. It's nice. It's going to take a little bit for me to get used to it but it's real nice. I'm just trying to get a bag for it now to store it in so that my kids don't mess with it.

You can post here since it is a track made on the 500. If you want feedback from a "group" of producers then post here in the "Your Music" forums.
